An EXCELLENT example of RARE, 1989 SADF 32 Battalion Nutria 'Tupperware' Unit Affiliation Shoulder Flashes ( Northern Cape Command). These pieces appear to be in a VF/F state of preservation, with detailed Graphic Design Relief on obverse. All insignia is present w/ Rubberized Appliqué remaining intact. Appropriate Evidence of handling/ age-related wear is visible on surface. Insignia Surface will display areas of wear / crazing marks. Material Fibre Panels are structurally sound and remain intact - with one retention pin . Unit Affiliation Command Bars are complete , with all Regimental features remaining defined. One Insignia Flash has been inscribed- however , the inscription is no longer clear / legible.
This Unit Insignia Flash Pair would have been utilised by members of 32 Battalion , who were performing Counter-Insurgency duties / Conventional Combat Operations in SWA/ Angola. The Pattern of Insignia, was worn with the Fielddress uniform attire when on duty or within the confines of Base.
