An EXCELLENT example of a Post-Border War, 1990s SA Special Forces 'Recce' Recruitment Poster Hand-signed by Lt-Col. Wynand Du Toit & Major Botha. This piece appears to be in a VF+ state of preservation , with detailed Graphic Relief rendered in full-colour semi-gloss on obverse. All imagery present. Appropriate Evidence of handling/ age-related wear is visible on surface. All signatures are clearly legible and defined in black ink , prominently displayed in the central panel.
The Poster, is a Mid-1990s recruiting campaign piece that marked the re-establishment of the South African Special Forces Brigade.
The first signatory , Lieutenant-Colonel Wynand Du Toit is renown for his affiliation to 4 Reconnaissance Regiment ( Langebaan). He participated in Operation Argon in 1985, and subsequently faced capture during the attempt to disable the Angolan Oilrig installations at Cabinda (Malongo).
The second signatory , Major Harry Greyling Botha - served as the RSM / Warrant Officer Class I for 2 Reconnaissance Regiment from 1 November 1976 - 25 January 1984.
