Rare 22 piece art deco Midwinter tea set. According to the backstamp, this tea set dates to c1946. It is art deco in style, and is light lemon with a darker lemon top band and gold accents and trim. The set consists of:

  • A teapot with lid standing 13cm high and 22cm from spout to handle.
  • A milk jug standing 10cm high.
  • A sugar basin standing 7cm high and 10cm in diameter.
  • A large cake plate 23cm in diameter.
  • 6 Tea trios consisting of a tea cup (7cm high x 9.5cm diameter), saucer (14cm diameter) and small cake plate (18cm diameter).

The milk jug has a small chip on the spout, but otherwise the set is in good condition - no other chips or cracks. There is some wear to the gilding as can be expected. Great buy.
