Black Beauty (a beautiful Afrikaans version suitable to young readers from about 6yrs and adults!)
Original story written by Anna Sewell a mere 5 months before her death in 1877.
In this 1984 version, the story is told by Liesel Drury and translated into Afrikaans by Selma Eiselen.
Gripping descriptions with some black-and-white illustrations. Strangely, I find no record of this edition online.
The ISBN number is 796700680 but it is not searchable. Very odd.
The book has been repaired and is covered in thick plastic. Hardcover has some chafe marks but the pages are in excellent condition.
