Rare antique 14ct gold Art Nouveau ladies brooch w/ celluloid flowers & 2x diamonds

This spectacular and very rare boxed antique Art Nouveau 14ct gold ladies brooch with celluloid flowers and two diamonds is an amazing find and is in stunning condition. The brooch is 5.5cm long and weighs 5.63g. The back of the brooch is stamped 585, confirming it is 14 carat gold. The brooch has two stunning violet flowers capped with round diamonds and a green leaf made of celluloid. Celluloid was largely used from c1870 (initially as a substitute for ivory) and various dyes were applied to the mix to create the most incredible colours which brought Art Nouveau jewellery into fashion. This amazing brooch has stood the test of time and has been very well cared for and stored in its hard box. There is absolute minimal age and usage related wear and tear and if you are a collector, this incredible brooch would be a prised addition too your collection.
