Rare Antique 'Double Ended' Combination Whistle (J. Hudson 13 Barr St.)

This rare, original, antique, white metal double ended combination whistle is stamped on the side 'THE METROPOLTAN, PATENT' and 'J. HUDSON & CO, 13 BARR ST, BIRMINGHAM', which dates this whistle between 1889 and 1908. They were used by the early 'combined police & fire departments' and possibly the 'Royal Navy's Motor Torpedo Boat Service'. Other than some minor discoloration in places its in great condition, with a good weight and works well. It measures 10,5cm in length.
