Rare antique Mazawattee Tea tin - man serenading 2 ladies on boat. From research done, it would seem as though this rare tin is Circa 1900, and is 3 pound nett weight. The tin depicts a man serenading 2 ladies on a boat on top, with swans around the sides. The tin is marked Mazawattee and has "Mazawattee 3lbs for 7'6 Tea" at the bottom. It has a "stay fresh" flap under the lid. This flap has the inscription " Mazawattee Tea is genuine only, In Decorated Tins with the seals unbroken and sealed packets with the registered label bearing the word Mazawattee". The tin measures 28cm x 17cm x 8cm. As can be expected, the tin shows wear due to age. However, a lovely piece of history to display in your home.
