This early, sterling silver 'Swastika' hat pin is English hallmarked for Birmingham 1912 and was manufactured by silversmiths 'Adie & Lovekin' (ALLD). In the western world, it was a symbol of auspiciousness and good luck until the 1930's. It is well made, with the swastika swiveling on the top of the long pin. The top of the hat pin measures 2.1cm x 2.1cm, with a pin length of 22.7cm and is great condition for its age.
