Info: A  gilt brass South African Air Force Zuid Afrikaanse Lugmag WW2 UDF Pilots Cap Badges with SAAF and ZALM with the Kings Crown.
Open Wings without the Eagles Head central theme.
(I am unable to find many examples of this style of SAAF ZALM badge with a Kings Crown, there is no damage on the wings, the badge is in very good condition.
Circa early 1920's, Afrikaans officially replaced Dutch language in May 1925.
Any information on this badge would be most welcome.
The South African Air Force Pilots Gilt Brass Cap Badges form part of the Militaria Collection of Lt Col AD Irvine who served in the Union Defence Force in North Africa and Europe during WW2 and for the South African Air Force.
Condition: Excellent, the badge colour is very good, the lugs and split pins are also in very good condition.
