Rare Boer War P.O.W. (Ceylon 1902) Crochet Hook

This hand carved 'Prisoner of War' wood and horn crochet hook is inscribed with the words 'CEYLON 1902.' Over 5000 Boers were interned in Ceylon (Sri Lanka) during the Boer War. Prisoners were sent there once the P.O.W. camp on St. Helena became full. It is in good condition and measures 12cm x 1.2cm.
