Info: The Golden Treasury of English Songs and Lyrics is a popular anthology of English poetry, originally selected for publication by Francis Turner Palgrave in 1861. It was considerably revised, with input from Tennyson, about three decades later. 
Palgrave excluded all poems by poets then still alive.
Featured Poets include Shakespeare, Shelley, Milton, Robert Burns, Wordsworth, Keats, Browning amongst others.
The Illustrations by Margaret R Caird place this book as being published in the 1930's.
MRC illustrated Palgraves Golden Treasury for Collins Clear Type Press, its size being that of the Small Version, it seems that MR Caird had completed the illustrations by 1932. 
Condition: Very Good, all pages and binding intact, no loose pages, the box cover is in fair condition, with some rubbing. Previous Owners inscription and best wishes 1937 on front papers.
