Rare booklet of 9 postcards of WWI scenes by Giulio Sartorio "Guerra vista Rappresentata" circa 1919
"Guerra vista Rappresentata" (or War Seen, Represented) was the name of an exhibition in Rome in 1918. Sartorio was a war volunteer and second lieutenant in the cavalry. He was wounded and captured, and kept in the Mauthausen camp. He was freed thanks to the help of Pope Benedict XV, and went back to the front line to paint several war scenes.
