Metal construction is complete with coloured Enamel inlay. All retention Pins are present at rear. Insignia is an Unofficial Unit-level issue item. Piece is Second-Hand.

An EXCELLENT example of Border War, 1970s SADF Unofficial Metallic 'Night Test Jump' Qualification Wings w/ Enamel inlay.  This piece appears to be in a VF+  state , with detailed Graphic Relief on  obverse. All insignia present. Minimal Evidence of handling/ age-related wear is visible on surface. Some degree of surface toning will be noted. Enamel inlay is complete and lustrous. Retention Pins at rear are intact. 

This piece is an Unofficial issue Insignia item - sanctioned by Unit-level Commanders of 1 Parachute Battalion during the late 1970s. The Badge- was commissioned privately to acknowledge those members who were qualified 'Night Test Jump' Parachutists. It must be Noted- that this Badge was NOT sanctioned or approved for wear/ display by SA Defence Force Headquarters.
