Cordura Nylon material appears in good order - no physical defects noted. Piece is inscribed with an inventory number. All double-sided press Studs are present and functional. Waterproof lining appears intact and complete throughout internal section. Hood is securely mounted , all grommets are visible and intact. Manufacturer label evident. Piece is Second-Hand.

An EXCELLENT example of Border War, 1980s SADF  32 Battalion Camouflage Pattern Poncho / Groundsheet w/ Hood. This piece appears to be in a VF+  state , with detailed Camouflage Design Relief on  obverse. All grommets & Press stud fittings are present. Appropriate Evidence of handling/ age-related wear is visible on surface. Hood segment is intact with adjustable draw-string tabs. Woven Cordura Nylon material remains complete- with no physical damage visible. Camouflage Pattern is clear and defined, with a very slight trace of pigment fading due to environmental exposure. Internal Waterproof lining remains intact. 

This piece would have been issued to Members of the 32 Battalion, Elite Light Infantry Unit- for utilisation during Operational deployment in SWA/ Angola. The Poncho features minimal details of utilisation, with such pieces being issued onward until disbandment of the Unit in 1993.
