An EXCELLENT example of Border War, 1980s SADF Nutria Junior 'Recce' Fielddress Qualification Breast Badge. This piece appears to be in a VF + state , with detailed Embroidered Relief on  obverse. All insignia present. Minimal Evidence of handling/ age-related wear is visible on surface. Nutria material remains intact. Original felt reinforcing panel is present. Piece is ex-Mount. 

This Qualification Badge, would have been worn by Junior members - who had newly qualified as Operators within the SADF Reconnaissance Regiments. Those wearing this Insignia- would have required further training and selection as required by their specific Unit.
