An EXCELLENT example of Border War, 1980s SAMS 7 Medical Battalion 'Recce' Lucite & Metal Unit Flash Pair. These pieces appear to be in a VF+ state of preservation , with detailed Graphic Relief on  obverse. All insignia present. Minimal Evidence of handling/ age-related wear is visible on surface. Lucite is complete and insignia appears defined. All retention Pins remain intact. 

These pieces would have been utilised by members of 7 Medical Battalion, with the Step-out Service Dress Uniform attire. This Unit , provided Medical personnel who operated within the South African Special Forces component. Members of 7 Medical Battalion- were required to successfully complete the 'Recce' selection course , in order to conduct field operations with qualified Operators.
