This is an incredibly incredibly rare and interesting find!!
A Boxed Silver Key presented to Sir Herbert J Stanley GCMG on his opening of The Tangalle Hospital Maternity ward in Ceylon, 1928
Stanley was a leading British Colonial Administrator, who served as Governor of Northern and Southern Rhodesia and in this case Ceylon (present day Sri Lanka)
It is fully inscribed, including with the name of the presenter Cecil E. Gooneratne Esquire. The lid of the box has all the details of the hospital
Very Good Good Condition. Box a bit worn, and clasp does not close
