Rare British 'Colour Sergeants' Sleeve Insignia (Waterloo Pattern)
This very early, rare example of an original, British 'Colour Sergeants' sleeve insignia was instituted in 1813, just before the Battle of Waterloo. The scarlet facing cloth embroidered with bullion and silk, features the Union flag surmounted by a crown with crossed sabres set on the flagstaff. Other than a couple of tiny holes to the scarlet fabric, it's in great condition with no damage to the insignia. It measures 27,5cm x 21,5cm.
