Rare Coca Cola Bottle 2010 Soccer World Cup Final Draw

This bottle was not issued to the public (there was a similar bottle that was issued). This bottle was only give in limited numbers in Cape Town to commemorate the 2010 World Cup final draw held in Cape Town.

The information on the bottle provided below is from an article in a packaging newsletter/magazine, Innovative Packaging:

"In October 2009, Nampak Wiegand Glass was approached by Coca-Cola to submit a proposal to produce a 250ml FIFA World Cupthemed commemorative the 2010 FIFA World Cup Final draw, which took place in Cape Town on December 4, 2009.

In record time, Nampak Wiegand Glass was able to submit a design, gain customer approval, win the tender, and then supply bottles in time to be filled and shipped to Cape Town timeously. The main order has been produced and decorated with an ACL 2010 FIFA World Cup logo and supplied to Coca Cola.

The bottle design is based on Cokes current 250ml bottle, with significant additional embossing and design changes to give the impression of a soccer ball, as well as specific labelling artwork.  Keep an eye out for this unique bottle itll be a collectors item given the limited quantity produced, advises a company spokesperson.

The bottle has been emptied. It was only filled again to photograph but it will be shipped empty.
