Cob enthusiasts, here's your holy grail! This super large Missouri Meerschaum dates from the 1940s or 50s. Unusually it has a genuine corncob shank and the company logo is literally branded on the heel as opposed to the more commonplace paper sticker of today. When I first got it I emailed the Missouri Meershaum Co. to enquire as to it's origins. I have tried to post the reply as one of the pics, but if it's illegible it reads:

That is actually a Monogram style MG 8 probably from the 1940's or 1950's. They are larger than a regular General and I do believe that the shank is made from corn cob. That is a real beauty! Thank you for sharing!
