Rare & Collectable Kalahari Studio Pottery Oval Footed Bowl
The Kalahari Pottery studio was established by Latvian artist and sculptor Aleksander Klopcanovs and his ceramist wife, Elma Vestman in Bramley, Johannesburg in 1949. In 1950 they relocated to a studio in the Cecilia Forest, Constantia Nek in Cape Town.
On offer this midcentury modern Kalahari Studio Pottery bowl. Inner in irregular block pattern with a matt white outer and - black feet. The approximate size is l 19 x w 10 x h 8 cm. Marked underneath with "Kalahari" as well as the imprint mark. Good vintage condition.
