We are a bit at a loss of words in explaining the beautiful yet unique details and origin of this piece, mostly as it is unknown with various themes.
In the top half of the brooch, a towering Dutch-looking female statue looks over a naughty theme of a figure laying on a bed, with a figure floating above in gold detail. On the bottom half, there is a pinkish dotted gemstone adorned above a figure scrubbing the floor, the sponge or rag also in gold detail. What looks like elephant tusks also feature on the sides of the sections. It definitely is a work of art!
There is an unknown maker's mark of an M in a circle and marked 925 accordingly, see photos for details and design. Box for display purposes.
