The Samburu tribe from the north of Kenya is a group of nomadic pastoralists closely related to the Maasai. This water gourd is 34cm tall and 18cm in diameter, adorned with leather straps which also ties the separate drinking gourd to the water container. The gourd also has a leather neck, ingeniously sewn onto the gourd. The drinking vessel is also a gourd - 27cm tall and 9cm in diameter. The large gourd does have a small crack on one side (refer last image) Nonetheless, a rare find indeed! Refer images
