Rare full sealed packet of 10 Commando Kommando cigarettes by Policansky Brothers, Cape Town

Early SA Union-era. Paper excise and surtax seal around packet. Plastic seal not perfect, with some parts lifting, but mostly intact. 

Please note the symbol on the packet is not the same as the one used by the German nationalists. This is the left-facing sauwastika, a Hindu symbol, that was a favourite of the Russian Empress Alexandra Feodorovna. The Policansky Brothers were Russian Jews who came to South Africa, which could explain their use of the symbol on their merchandise. They were equally famous for their child labour and inhumane conditions at their factories as for their Cavalla cigarettes.
