Impressive large Antique 1800's Japanese Satsuma Vase, hand decorated with Immortals and other figures painted against rich gilded decoration. The vase has been signed on the base rim by the Artist, a little indistinct, not sure of the name? Sadly this vase has sustained some minor damage. No cracks, but minor sections of top handles and side raised detail has chipped off. Structurally the vase is intact and displays perfectly. The damages are subtle and hardly noticeable. In good condition this particular vase is worth several Thousand Rand and I am sure could be restored by a professional Restorer. Usual age craze to glaze. No repairs to this incredible piece!!! Measures approximately 34 cm high and about 15 cm widest.
