Rare Japanese Inro: Hand Carved

Regretfully I am selling off my collection of oriental collectibles. See my other listings for more items.

This intriguing piece is intricately carved on both sides with erotic scenes on both sides.
An Inro is a traditional case for holding small objects. Traditional Japanese garb lacked pockets, so objects were carried by hanging them from the obi, or sash. Although the piece is old I am unsure of it’s exact age.
The item is in great condition with no damage. There are signs of use but they only add to it’s charm.
