RARE JOHANNES PETRUS MEINTJIES AUTHENTIC SKETCH 1946~R10 000

Rare Original and authentic vintage Avant-garde Johannes Petrus Meintjies Sketch of a woman in rather unusual period style dress. A very early piece of Meintjies considering he began his art career just a few years previously.  This artwork has been highly appraised and valued between R4000 to R8000 and would probably command a price of R10 000 or more at Gallery. Pen and ink medium is authentic and 100% original (not a print). Later black frame, fitting, with the period. Signature is authentic, genuine. Paper the sketch is on is in excellent condition, no tears or creases and only a couple of insignificant light brown age marks, fortunately no marks on the sketch or signature. Frame measures approximately 41 x 33 cm and actual picture inside frame measures about 17 x 25 cm.
