Rare LIMA CINEMA COACH- H0 Scale

A rare SNCF Cinema coach manufactured by Lima.  The coach is 29cms in length, unboxed and in overall good condition (some minor scuff marks on the roof as per pictures). 

The Societe Nationale des Chemins de Fer or SNCF is France's National state-owned railway company.

Between the 60s and 70s, the SNCF converted some of its end-of-life restaurant cars into cinema cars.  For a substantial charge the wealthy passengers had the opportunity to take a seat in the cinema car, where they coukd sit back, rekax and watch a movie, especially on long journeys.  One such line where these cinema cars were frequently used was on the Paris-Bourg-Saint-Maurice line (8h journey at the time).
