This is an unusual etching by Tinus de Jongh.
This is the first time I have ever come across this one after 15 years of dealing.
Not surprising as it is limited and numbered 72/150 in the top left corner. Most of these will no longer exist when you consider that these were pressed before 1942. You won't see this again once it is sold.
It is slightly smaller than the normal. Etching is 23 x 15 cm.
The etching is beautiful dark imprint, even , unfaded and on undarkened unbrowned high quality paper. The blindstamp and signature are there as well as the title.
Excellent condition mount and metal frame as well.
Superior all round with a charming subject. Better than the browned tat you sometimes see for sale.
Secure packaging and tracked postage only R60.
