Rare mid-19th century French Army drum with drumsticks

This is a French military drum from the Franco-Prussian War of 1870.

As can be seen from the photos one beating side of the brass drum is perfect, the other has come loose at one end. 

There is a segment of the original leather strap still attached with a brass shoulder pad.

At 150+ years old the drum is in a remarkably good condition.

There are three of drumsticks made from brass and wood. They are in a very good original condition.

I bought this drum & drumsticks at a militaria dealer in Strassbourg in 1990.

I have done a comprehensive internet search but have not been able to find an equivalent. It is very rare.
