MINIATURE BRASS MINING LANTERN

Rare miniature mining type lantern, seldom seen!

This solid brass mining type lantern is in great condition. It appears to have all the original parts and is in perfect working condition.

The brass tank at the bottom screws off and the wick and wick holder is removed in order to fill the tank with fuel. When the tank is unscrewed the glass can also be removed. The wick is adjusted with the wire protruding through the bottom of the tank.

The lantern was made by E. Thomas & Williams Ltd, Cambrian Works, in Aberdare, South Wales, UK. We could not determine its exact age, so please do some research of your own if age is an important factor to you.

The lantern measures 16.5cm tall excluding the hanger and the tank has a diameter of 6cm.
