Very rare and unconventional Mortar Shot Cartridge 60x200mm Rimless - Empty Shell
This is a South African 60 mm M1A1 Canister cartridge (+/- 135 balls) made by Denel for the French type 60 mm CS mortars mounted in light armored vehicles. The hook is an extraction lug and is original to the case, while the section with three holes is the delayed expulsion charge, because in this design the case is expelled forward -through the muzzle- after the shot is fired.
