An EXCELLENT example of a RARE, Natal Police 1902- 1913 Subdued Cap Badge w/ Lugs. This piece appears to be in a VF/F state , with detailed Graphic Relief on  obverse. All insignia present. Evidence of handling/ age-related wear is visible on surface. Retention Lugs intact.

The Natal Police , were a Colonial Paramilitary formation- that dispensed not only with regular law enforcement duties, but was also mustered for military service. This Colonial force , participated in both the Boer War (1899-1902), as well as , The Bambatha Rebellion (1906). 

The ideal addition to any SA Pre-World War I Era Colonial Insignia collection or display- for the enthusiast seeking a unique period piece for their assortment.
