Josephine Crumrine was born on 16 April 1917 in Seattle. She travelled by Steamship throughout Alaska making her way by selling her paintings. She painted pictures of Husky's and other dogs for the front covers of their menus. The picture below is apparently a print from 1952 as this is what is stated at the back of the print. The picture is in very good condition, however there is a slight watermark on the right which can clearly be seen.
