Rare Rhodesian 'B.S.A.P. Reserve' Copper Plaque(Pre-UDI)
This scarce, original, pre 'UDI' (1965), Rhodesian 'British South Africa Police Reserve' (with crown), handcrafted copper and wooden plaque was made by Malcolm Barr, an ex-member of the BSAP. It is in excellent condition, and in all my years of trading, I've never seen another one like it. It has its original label on the back 'RHOBARD, COPPER PLAQUES' 'MARLBOROUGH, SALISBURY, RHODESIA' and it measures 21,5cm x 18cm x 2cm.
Note: Ive recently, and very kindly been informed that this plaque was made in the early 1960s by Malcolm Barr, a very talented ex member of the BSAP. The first plaque that he produced was the famous The Fiddlers Crutch, the name of the popular police pub, in the mens hostel.
