This very scarce special edition, leather bound, signed book on the Rhodesian Special Air Service, is numbered '880' and is one of only 1500 worldwide. This like new deluxe book, is signed by the author 'Barbara Cole' and by the Rhodesian Prime Minister at the time, 'Ian Douglas Smith'. This book 'THE ELITE' (The story of the Rhodesian Special Air Service) is from the authors 1^st edition of her classic work. It was a deluxe edition limited to only 1500. It is a navy blue leather, hard cover book, with an 'SAS' badge set on the front. It comes complete with a blue leather book mark, with the wording and insignia in gold, as well as its original slip in cover. All the pages are gold edged. The book has 449 pages, 105 colour and black & white photos & illustrations, including maps and roll of honour etc. The book is in pristine like new condition, and appears unread.
