Rare andbeautiful Royal Albert tea set as the forerunner of the Old English Rosepattern.

Royal Albert Crown Chinabackstamp was used from 1927 to 1935 and did not include the pattern name onthe bottom of the china. In this set There is one Old English Rose side plate -  please see the photos with the two side platesside by side. This set has the heaviest gilding I have seen. Pedestal footed smoothteacup with a high handle. The cabbage roses are large nestling in gold. Cakeplate (handled) and side plates are square, the saucers round.

The condition  is amazing for its age, no crazing, cracks,chips or restoration, the brushed gold  appearsflawless-see teapot handle for 2 spots, may be factory related.
