Above is the serial number 9516 and the year and month of production 4-51 (April 1951).

RARE Russian Cold War (1947 - 1990) Vostok 8 day mechanical submarine clock c1951

Good working condition

Rare USSR (CCCP) Russian Military mechanical Navy Submarine Clock by the VOSTOK (BOCTOK) factory.

The Russian Vostok Military Clock Factory produced these 8-day clocks for use on the Soviet Navy's nuclear submarines and warships. Subsequently, economic hardships caused the Russian Navy to stop building subs and this factory to halt producing these clocks.

The clock is protected from oscillation influences and is Anti-Magnetic. The splash-proof body is made of chrome plated brass that is dust-proof and waterproof.

On the case is the serial number 9516 and the year and month of production 4-51 (April 1951). The front is plastic (Plexiglass) and has a fine network of cracks on the surface. Plexiglass was used on submarine clocks as it would not shatter like glass during combat.
