RARE SECTOR 10 SWA GERMAN ANTIKO SILVERPLATED SPOON AND A VINTAGE NATAL RUGBY SPOON

TWO RARE AND COLLECTABLE SOUTHERN AFRICAN SOUVENIR SPOONS. FIRST A RARE SECTOR 10 SWA SADF HEADQUARTERS SOUVENIR SPOON THAT WAS SILVERPLATED BY THE GERMAN ANTIKO COMPANY. THEN A VINTAGE NATAL RUGBY SOUVENIR SPOON.
 
Sector 10 [Afr: Sektor 10] was established in 1975 as the headquarters of one of the 7 geographical areas within South-West Africa used by the SADF to control and coordinate military operations. Sector 10 was the sector in the Operational Area covering the north-western part of SWA and the border with Angola (Kaokoland and Okavango), with its headquarters at Oshakati. A number of SADF cross-border operations was launched into Angola from this sector.
 
The name 'ANTIKO' has been in use since 1959. It is formed from the words 'ANTIque' and 'KOhlbecker'. Heinz Kohlbecker established his business, Kohlbecker Silberwarenfabrik, at Pforzheim Germany in 1946. They are current based in based in Birkenfeld, Germany.
