September 1970 Seiko 6119-8640 Gene Kranz with silver dial and bezel, called the Gene Kranz as this is what he wore.
Eugene Francis Kranz (born August 17, 1933) is an American who served as 's second , directing missions of the , , and programs, including the first lunar landing mission, . He directed the successful efforts by the Mission Control team to save the crew of , and was portrayed in the of the same name by actor .
The movement is very clean and is keeping very good time, the case is rather good considering the dial, mechanically she is very good.
38mm in size and has a Turtle shape
This watch does unfortunately have some dial issues, the left hand marker at 12 is missing as well as the day date window frame, these however can be corrected or a new dial found.
It does wear extremely well and flat due to the case shape and comes with an original Seiko bracelet which has been repaired from what I can see but is still good, I would however wear this on a nato strap.
