A South African soldier stationed in Egypt during WW2 brought these two beautiful Egyptian Filigree bracelets for his wife when he returned from the war.
Both of the bracelets have been tested for silver and the more elaborate bracelet has an 800 stamp on the fastening clip. (See photograph). This bracelet weights about 50gr. This bracelet with two panels is in good condition and the fastening clip still works. There seems to be no damage to the filigree work but there is a bit of rust visible on the clasp. I have taken most of the pictures with flash but there is one pic without a flash so you can see what the bracelet looks like in natural light.
The second bracelet with the 6 hinged panels is missing a small piece of filigree detail in the centre of the bracelet and the clasp does not work. It weights about 20gr. The hallmark for silver could not be seen on this bracelet and it is possible that is obscured by some soldering work on the clasp as it seems somebody tried to repair the clasp. (It was however tested for silver). The clasp is included. The rest of the bracelet seems undamaged.
