A gilt bar for a second award of the Van Riebeeck Decoration. Made but never awarded- extremely rare.
The Van Riebeeck Decoration was awarded to officers for distinguished service against an enemy in the field. Only two decorations were ever awarded, both in 1972.
This would be an excellent addition to any military medal collection.
