DIGITCON: Originally known as Radcon and best known for producing the Wild Fox (aka Tandy/Radio Shack Red Arrow buggy), this company changed its name to Digitcon in the late 1980s and released several more good quality, robust R/C vehicles to rival the output of Nikko, Taiyo, Shinsei, and the Quick Drive line from Tamiya, among others. Digitcon disappeared sometime in the mid-1990s, but around 1992 Tandy/Radio Shack stores sold several of their models, including the 4WD Turbo Winch truck which was notably quicker (thanks to its turbo feature) to drive than the Tandy 4×4 Off Roader which was also still available at that time. The original Digitcon release of the 4WD Turbo Winch was available in toy shops, but like most of the short-lived line of Digitcon R/C models, is very hard to find today. All Digitcon models are notably heavier and more robust, and more powerful, than the R/C models you generally find in toy shops today.
