A rare vintage earthenware boot-shaped flask, which will be of interest to collectors of ceramic ginger beer bottles and old glass bottles. It was made by either Rockingham pottery in Yorkshire, England, or by Bennington Pottery in Vermont, USA. Condition good, except for a small glaze chip on the base (see close-up photo below). The base also shows the three stilt marks from the firing process (though this is not a manufacturing flaw but a normal feature). Height 165 mm; length 185 mm.
