A rare vintage mens watch Universal Polerouter Geneve Automatic with date. No reserve.

Crisp, golden sunburst dial with unique design. Crystal glass in excellent condition.

Golden hands and sweeping centre second. Dial reads "Universal Polerouter Geneve" , AUTOMATIC and "Swiss" at 6. Single calendar at 3.

I think the case is gold capped, not gold plated. There are signs of wear on the bezel part of the case around the areas of 2, 4 and 6 (gold capping worn). Case measures approx 34mm x 34mm (excluding lugs and crown).

Original 28 jewel AUTOMATIC movement, caliber 218 (series 2) duly signed Universal which was introduced in 1960. Working excellently.

Worn brown strap with gold plate buckle in good condition.

Screw-on stainless steel back duly signed Universal on the inside.

A lovely, RARE original Swiss watch in great working condition. Keeps perfect time !
