Up for auction is one of the most difficult collectibles to acquire¿.. This is an original, vintage, Mint On Card KING Smurf, made by Schleich in 1978 sealed on a 1982 card!!! This item has been kept in pristine condition for 28 years. This is his original card and his original bubble and he has never been opened!!! The date and manufacturer name is stamped on his foot and written on the bottom of the card. We have not seen Smurfs in their original packaging like this since I was overseas in the early eighties!!! Smurfs have been and continue to be very sought after collectibles. Their value is constantly on the rise, so this is an excellent investment for a collector -- and that is loose Smurfs alone that we refer to. To find Mint On Card Smurfs is all new to us --- so rare --- extremely valuable and are in excellent condition!! . The fact that he is a 1978 figure on a 1982 card makes him all the more valuable as well !! The bubble is perfectly clear and perfectly sealed all around -- perfectly square on the corners. The bubble has slight denting around the sides. All in all , the display looks great!! The card is in excellent condition and is unpunched (the hanger tag has not been removed and this makes all Mint On Card figures far more valuable than any punched ones).The card has some creases , as can be expected for something this old. Card is still bright and colourful! The figure inside is untouched!!! He seems to have developed some sort of frosting on the parts that are gold. We don't know if it can be removed or not because we can't get to him. He is dressed as a true King, with his crown, Gold jewelry, a royal robe and a good mushroom scepter!! Smurfs in good condition are highly sought after around the world and sell for a lot of money. We can not really put a market price on this because through all our research and toy collecting around the world, we have not found any other Mint on Cards. This gem is part of a collection that we have, that we may never be able to replace.--- never been opened in 24 years and in perfect, untouched condition!!! We will send him to you vacuum sealed !!!
