RARE VINTAGE PETERSON PRE-REPUBLIC DUBLIN AND LONDON SMOKING PIPE (CIRCA 1940-1949) + PIPE SOCK

This rare straight prince is a fine example asuperior Peterson Pipe with the distinctive P-lip. The MADE IN IRELAND stamp (as opposed to MADE IN THE REPUBLIC OF IRELAND) denotes it as a rare Pre-Republic era pipe (i.e. before 1949, when Ireland became a republic).

Very lightly smoked and in near pristine condition, this pipeis from the high grade Dublin and London range. The pundits suggest that the range commenced 1940 which would put it in the 1940 1949 date range. SimilarPre-republics regularly sell for $100+ on eBay.

I have included the vintage pipe sock it came with bearing the logo Briars by Petersons. The smallish thick-walled bowl should make it perfect for stronger flakes.
