AWESOME VINTAGE MEDIEVAL KNIGHT BAR SET

1960's Japan

Rare and collectible piece

This is a rare and unusual, detailed and well-produced bar set containing 6 shot glasses and a decanter, all within a stand modeled as the upper body of a Medieval knight.

It is marked 'Made in Japan' to the rear and through some research it was found to have been manufactured during the 1960's.

The front has an ornately scrolled metal breast plate which pulls down like a drawbridge to reveal a rectangular glass spirit decanter.

The two arms also pull down to access the shot glasses, 3 on either side. The head is superbly detailed as the knight's helmet, the visor of which lifts to show the face.

The body beneath the armor is made from hard black plastic, with a red liner to the bottle and glass compartments.

Apart from some light surface rust, the piece is in good condition. The decanter and shot glasses are all original.

The piece measures 38cm tall.

Included are three matching bottle pourers/stoppers in similar condition.
