RARE WEDGWOOD BLACK BASALT JASPERWARE SQUARE LIDDED BOX

A Lovely and Rare Wedgwood Black Basalt Jasper Ware Square Lidded Trinket Box. This Beautiful Wedgwood piece measures approximately 5cm in height, 10cm length and width. The center of the Lid is decorated with a large Greek Neo Classical Scene depicting "Aesculapius Treating a Youth" flanked by Four Medallions. There is a lovely floral garland around the lid. All four sides are decorated with Classical Greek Designs of Cherubs. The Corners have beautiful ornate brackets.
