An EXCELLENT example of RARE, World War I Austro-Hungarian ' Czech Legion' M1895 Steyr Mannlicher Bayonet w/ Scabbard. This piece appears to be in a VF state , with Blade & handle remaining complete. All markings are present on obverse and reverse of both Blade ricasso & Scabbard. All necessary parts present. Evidence of handling/ age-related wear is visible on surface. Mortise appears functional when engaged. Blade will display some degree of edge wear.
This piece retains the Imperial Czechoslovak Legion Unit marking on the Scabbard - and would have been issued to Imperial Soldiers drafted from the Bohemian & Moravian provinces of the Empire.
